What is your business motto?
Ability is Limitless. I’ve witnessed so many clients overcome the odds whether it be from injury, be it physical or emotional, I believe the body can achieve whatever the mind is willing to believe.
How do you make contacts, which are useful for business?
I have a big social media following now on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn. But I also get a lot of client referrals and meet new contacts by talking to people!
What makes your business different?
I’d definitely say my 18 years of experience of working with every demographic, age, ability, injury and medical history and getting the best out of each and every client.
What do you always have with you?
My iPad and phone. I couldn’t live without them, especially now I have my own App for clients.
Do you dress-up or dress-down for business?
Dress down – tracksuit and trainers are the order of the day for me!
Which person has inspired you most in your business life and in what way?
I came into the fitness industry when it was still quite rare for people to use a personal trainer, so there were no real high-profile PT’s to look up to. Now I admire fitness entrepreneurs such as Bedros Keuilian, who has turned his boot camp business into a multi-million pound empire.
What's your proudest achievement in business?
Being successfully self-employed for nearly 18 years and helping so many clients to achieve their goals.
What's your company's greatest asset?
My greatest asset is also my greatest weakness – ME. My business has always been what I can provide through having good knowledge and practical application of that knowledge. Now I’m trying to put systems in place so that I can reach and help more people without working more hours and spreading myself too thinly.
Do you use social media and if so with how much success?
Since diversifying the business to include online content I now regularly use Facebook and Instagram. Social media has proved an invaluable marketing tool and is helping me reach a far wider audience and potential client base. The key now lies in monetising the social media content.
If you hadn't gone down your chosen career path, what would you be doing?
I studied to be a Car designer at University, so if I hadn’t stumbled into the fitness industry I guess I would have pursued that.
Give us one tip for a successful business –
Make people buy into YOU rather than just the service you provide and you’ll have a much more loyal client base for a much longer period of time.
How do you relax away from work?
On the golf course or going on family days out with our two boys.
